“You’d all be able to hear too if everyone just took the time to listen, but everyone has stopped listening.”
Beautiful and poetic, The Window Outside is the story of Frank and Evelyn, their two daughters Sharon and Miranda, and how as a family, they negotiate a sometimes funny, but tender pathway of ageing, illness and end of life care.
Frank has had a stroke and cannot communicate. Evelyn has early dementia. Both are lost inside their own body. Their love is so deep however, they still communicate with each other—laughing, singing, dancing, and reliving their life raising their two daughters. But ageing and illness now threaten to physically separate them, only to be further lost to each other. "We’re all lost" says Sharon…everyone except Frank and Evelyn. “Oh what a life Frank” says Evelyn."Yes, our life" says Frank....as they dance into the moonlight.
A powerful story of home, displacement and enduring love.
